On April 24, 1800, President John Adams establishes the Library of Congress using $5,000 appropriated by Congress. The first books were ordered from London and arrived in 1801. They were kept in the U.S. Capitol. In 1802, the library had 964 books and nine maps. During the War of 1812, the Capitol was burned down causing the loss of 3,000 books. In order to replace the loss, former President Thomas Jefferson sold his extensive library of nearly 6,500 volumes to Congress to rebuild the collection. Another fire in 1851 destroyed about two thirds of the then 55,000-volume library, including many of Jefferson’s books. These losses were replaced within a few years. Today, the library has about 38 million books as well as photographs and recordings.

"Success Story"

       I was successful in the Military Police National Guard for 8 years. I had great job thanks to my Dad and on the job training as the airport Electrician at Bradley Int. airport for 20 years. I was a Career employee because of my training at that airport of the Federal Government at the Submarine Lower Base and the Hospital in Groton Connecticut for 3 years. That made me a Career Federal Employee. I stopped smoking cigarettes 20 years ago and for the past 10 years I have been a Vegetarian.  But by far the best achievement to date for sure is that I been Clean and Sober and without a drink of Alcohol or a substitute for 41 years and I have never been so grateful for anything in my life.. Each night I thank God for my life... That alone is a miracle..

"Think About This"

                        When I was a kid I made a monthly drive to Atlantic City with a Cool Chick to stay in those beautiful hotels, Trump Plaza and the Taj Mahal and go to the beach and walk the boardwalk. Very rarely I would play the 25 cent slots but I didn't go there for that.. I remember the Trump BAC-111 Jet flying over the New Jersey tnpk...   Really think about this ... Trump has always had everything given to him ALL his life.. He doesn't worry about having a first class seat. He has always had his own Jet airliner.. He doesn't know what its like to work for a living to feed your family. He has had no reason to learn anything except how to call the maid to clean the mess or driver for his car...His Hotel room is always the Penthouse... He doesn't know anything else and has nothing to compare it too.... The idea is when you are elected by the people and sent to Washington you to try to represent the people fairly and be a decent human being by setting an example for the good people of this country…It would also be a good idea to stop the lawyers from running this country and give it back to the people. Just my opinion..

"The Virus Update"

       I think when and if you get the Virus it has a lot to do with the way you live and your bad habits such as smoking, drinking alcohol and most importantly your diet. Its like catching a cold.. The weaker you are by all your bad habits (and we all have them) the less resistance you have to germs and the more likely you will get sick..
