Police in Meriden Connecticut said a person has been arrested in connection with the shooting death of a 70-year-old store clerk last week.
Willie Breyette, 25, of New Britain was arrested in connection with the shooting death that occurred during a robbery at the EZ Mart on East Main Street.
Breyette appeared in court on Tuesday morning and was ordered to be held in jail in lieu of a $500,000 bond.
"My son is not a monster," Arthur Breyette said. "He's a good kid with his own two kids."
He was charged with aiding and abetting and hindering prosecution.
