"Makers of Violent Video Games to Fend Off Regulation"
Makers of Violent Video Games Marshal Support to Fend Off Regulation - NYTimes.com
New York Times.......The $60 billion Video game industry is facing intense political pressure from an unlikely alliance of critics who say that violent imagery in video games has contributed to a culture of violence.
Comment.........Does a parent these days say to a kid? "Yes, I'll get you a game but first, you have to realize that its fake and not real, its only a game. Nice people don't really do these things. Of coarse then you have to say movies are fake, the killing is only acting or make-believe. Then there is the the violent news on TV and telling them, reality shows are not real. After a while its confusing and the violence is imbedded in their young minds. It is programing them...It just goes on and on. There are no parents home. They are working to pay their high rent, food, and that $4.00 a gallon for gas to do these things...They say, "Oh well I'll just buy the kid a game system to keep busy until I get home". Then the call from the school comes, little Johnny is making threats to his class mates. The truth is, he doesn't know any better! Think about this.......ITS A $60 BILLION DOLLAR INDUSTRY...that doesn't care about you or your kids. Its always only about the money....
