"What are Stars Mommy?"

If this or any part of this is done, I believe the smiles you don’t see anymore would come back. There would be less crowded roads and highways. It would be less crowded everywhere. The air would be clean. Can you imagine looking up at night and seeing the stars again? Did you know there is so much pollution that your kids have never seen the stars at night the way it was in the 50s? Can you imagine drinking the water out of the faucet in a real glass instead of a plastic bottle? Can you imagine getting gas at your local gas station and seeing a High School kid named John instead of Abdul working the cash register? Can you remember when you heard the name Mohamed you thought of a Heavy Weight Champion instead of death or a bomb blast somewhere? Gas would be $49.9 cents a gallon the way its supposed to be. People would trust one another again. Families would stay together instead of being torn apart and ruined by alcohol, drug abuse and teen pregnancy. Honesty and morals would be a mainstay and the thing to do. Love would be what real love is supposed to be about and not just a passing desire for a few years or until you are tired of one another. Marriage would be when, “Through sickness and health” meant just that. The perfect family where Dad works and Mom watches the kids just might reappear. Maybe the kids would be outside playing in the yard instead going on the internet or playing video games. Just maybe a movie would be shown without a gun or death in it. Yes, and to all you people that will say this country was founded by certain principles, your right but most of those principles don’t exist anymore. You are right though, I would be the first to tell you the old words to the Constitution are there but Lawyers and corruption have changed and twisted the words to make them be whatever they want them to be. It seems we are so busy fixing all the world problems we are not watching what is happening in our own back yard. Our country is growing faster than our coping skills can handle it. Maybe it would take some tough decisions and limit setting to fix things but right now the United States is not United. Right now, it has no future. If you think it does, you have been blinded by all the lies and manipulation. If the United States continues on the path it is going, well you think about it. Project a little into the future…You will see what I mean and if you don’t, may God bless you. You are going to need it.

You Can Have It Now

                   

Can I say that? Its true. I am glad I am the age that I am. I have heard others say that.. I think I mean I was born years ago when things were sort of new. I remember the clean air and you could drink water out of a brook and smell the spearmint growing near the water.. The silence was unbelievable. You could "Hear a pin drop" as my Mom used to say. Laying in a field of clean grass at night was like being at a planetarium. The milky way and the trillions of stars I will never forget. I could walk to school without fear of being mugged or shot. The neighborhood bully was another thing but my Dad taught me me how to fight and I taught the bully a lesson and he never bothered me again. Its funny no one called the police. We duked it out and it was over. At night I huddled near the radio to listen to The Green Hornet and The Shadow. Life was easy going and lazy. Mom was there when I got home from school and she made me a peanut butter and jelly sandwich out of fresh bread delivered to the door by the Wonder Bread man who lived on a street in the same town we lived. After I went out to the woods to play Army or Cowboys and really believed I was those those things. If I wasn't home at five I would received a lecture from my Dad on how we need to eat all together because it was easier on Mom to do the dishes all at once. I think there were other reasons but I never questioned my Dad. Not out of fear but out of respect. I was always home before or at five on the dot. Flash forward to today..... A woman running for president. It was unthinkable years ago. (Not that there is anything wrong with that). Every other person on the street is a from another country. The anger is at level I have never seen before. There is blood in the streets in all the city's. The news at eleven is murder, rape and animals being mutilated. Its a slow news day when there isn't someone shot in a school or a husband killing his wife and kids and then killing himself. Today, can you take a walk in your neighborhood? When is the last time you walked into gas station or a store and wondered if the cashier could speak English? So, all you people from where ever you are or where ever you came from God bless you! You can have this tired, old worn out country with all the roads, stores, people, pollution and crime. You will never know how it was. I lived the best years here. The time moved slow and there was real happiness not purchased instant gratification. So you can have it to ruin like the ruined country's you all came from. Can I still say that? I don't know. there was a time you could......

"A Milestone"

                    

    Its been almost 3 years and I still don't watch TV…..I guess there is a science to giving up something…  Something addicting that is?… Until they banned cigarette commercials. They programmed you to smoke and it turned out to be addicting and millions of smokers died of lung cancer and related diseases. How long will it be before they ban beer commercials. Did you notice there are no Hard Liquor commercials? What about beer, it does the same thing?…Drink too much and they say, “You are having fun“. They want you to believe you are having fun and you think you are. Ask yourself If its so much fun how come you suffer the next day if you drink too much?  Now the Greedy Bastards sell beer on Sundays here in Connecticut. That way they can get you to do more crazy things for the 11 o’clock news and guess what? (((Spend more money)))…Well, as for me, I feel better each day by not watching television and those insane commercials. I think if I write about it gets easier. Anyway, in a sense I have not been watching for a long time. I was turning it on but muting the commercials but now, even when you mute everything there are hidden commercials. You can’t do that anymore. I have to shut it off. These days watching television is not good for your mental health and behavior…I know they have been using it to reach into your mind. Not only watching every move you make in the stores but using the plastic bar code cards to keep tract of what you buy…Now you feel compelled to spend money you don’t have by way of the television…All you Moms that plant your kids in front of the TV to give them something to do…The Bastards are programming your kids to do, God only knows what? In a sense you are allowing strangers to mess with your kids mind.  Here is a test to see if they are being brainwashed…Shut it off and tell them to go out and play…I don’t have to tell you what the result will be. Do I? Try it yourself. Don’t watch TV, go to the park. Take a bike ride. Put on some commercial free music on the stereo. If you can’t do this for even a day you have been programmed..

   Remember a long time ago when we seen something bad happen to someone we would say, Hey, be careful it could happen to you. Well, the way things are going these days we say, its going to happen to you sooner or later even if you are careful. I say, try not to become collateral damage. I realize that human behavior has been questionable for thousand years and people have been wondering why people do what they do since the beginning of time. Things have escalated in the past few years here in America and its my opinion that most of what is going on in this country these days is because of suppressed anger, fear and rage. None of us is bullet proof to the craziness and insanity going on in the world today...We have come to the point here in the United States depending where you live that its too dangerous to venture outside. I realize it has always been somewhat like this, more or less but it seems like its much worse now. Ask yourself a few questions. Do you really know who your neighbors are? Do you trust them? Are you sure? Would you let them baby sit your 13 year old daughter or give them the key to your house to watch while you go on vacation? I'll bet you are thinking about that? Has your home ever been invaded or broken into. Watch out there country dwellers you are on the list now. You can spend a small fortune for that security system but you are not untouchable anymore. I have never heard of that happening till a few years ago. Even you out there in the country in your 5 Million dollar home. You are not safe. Try and buy a hand gun to protect yourself. They are even taking that away from you too.  Remember when you could leave in the morning and not lock your door? I do....
       Has there ever been a suicide in your family? No, but I'll bet you know someone who has? Has divorce hit your family? Your kids or nieces and nephews? Do you smoke cigarettes? Could you stop if you wanted to?... Right, try it.. How about Alcoholism or Drug Addiction? Do you really know what your son or daughter would do to get the drink or drug he or she needs when craving it? Do you have an Alcoholic or Drug addict in your family? Did you know that alcoholism is an inherited disease?... Maybe it would it would be a good idea to read about addiction and learn. Have you been touched by those diseases yet...Notice I said yet...Have you felt the misery of a death by car accident on the highways these days or by the horrendous weather we are having? Has a family member or even a friend ever been raped or murdered? How about losing your job or your home? Have you ever had your car repossessed? Have you ever been watched so much you are starting to get paranoid? Your cell phone is really a hand held computer that will tell everyone everything. Are you or your kids addicted to your phone. Do you go back and get it if you forget it at home? Could you go a day without it? I did...Try that. Those cards the Supermarket uses. The ones you scan to buy something. Right, even they know what you are doing all the time. Ever wonder why you need a plastic card to buy almost anything? Even the banks know if and when you pay your bills.
       How about your kids. Have they left the family nest to go out in the world only to come back to live with you again? Are they saving for their future and retirement? Hell, are you saving for your future and retirement? The way things are going now you won't be able to retire until you are 70. That's only if Social Security has any money left. Will you be healthy enough to work until you are 70?..... 27% of Americans have no savings for that rainy day....All those wonderful politicians you voted for that are spending millions to get elected or reelected are robbing you blind. Ask them about their retirement and health care. Don't believe me? Just wait, you will see!
       Remember when you knew the cop on the beat by his first name? The police today are more Military than anything else. They all look alike with their shaved heads, bullet proof vests and combat fatigues. They carry automatic weapons like in a the army. Police departments of today now have hazmat teams and bomb squads. You haven't lived until you have been evacuated from a building because of a bomb threat or a mysterious white powder scare. Kids are being shot in schools everyday somewhere in this country. And no its not just the ghettos. It can happen to you...(((Oh, can I still say ghettos?))) Think about that? Have your children been in a locked down school because of a white powder, gun or bomb scare?  Its happening more and more. You are being scrutinized, searched, listened too and watched everywhere you go. From the highways and stores to Facebook and Google. Yes, you are...and there isn't a Blessed thing you or I can do about it.
      You and your kids are being programed by "Nintendo" games or while you are watching those horrible reality shows on TV, which are not real by the way. What about the the TV and movie violence? It is the worst I have ever seen. Because of the movies and TV, promiscuity is normal and modesty is nonexistent? There is nothing left to the imagination. Remember, young minds without supervision are the future copycats and you know what means. They actually need someone to tell them difference between right and wrong...As the years, months and days go by in this computer world the odds of something I just described happening to you is rapidly increasing. So if you think you were careful before, brother you haven't seen anything yet....All because of money...The Bastards out there will do anything to steal or sell you something. Nothing else matters....They don't care about anything else....

"The Violence Today"

I went to the Super Market yesterday and while waiting in the line I call the, "Compulsive spender aisle", its the aisle located just before the cash register and they make you pass through there to wait before paying. I noticed one of those New York gossip rags with the headline "Son of Sam speaks". I started to think about what is going on in this country with the all the murders and shootings. Its like this newspaper and others like it, if you can call them that, want something to happen. Who cares what this Bastard has to say? Yet someone will actually spend money to read what this monster said. I will never understand that..These newspapers know that maybe someone reading what this freak has to say will be encouraged to copy these psychopaths, thinking that they can get away with murder. I don't know but I think its because these nutcases think they are smarter. They always show the most shocking and insane things on the TV news? They are constantly reshaping our cultural values. The young people of today are, for the most part not being taught at home or in school anymore. Look at the bullying epidemic for example. Years ago kids learned by limit setting and their parents example. Today it’s the murderer or shooter as they call him, the drug addict movie star or singer or some other twisted thing on Facebook or YouTube. Young minds see these things and guess what? Right, without the right supervision kids will try anything. The next thing you know they are on the local news and you are saying. "Awww isn’t that a shame, I knew that kid, he was so nice...
