Addicted

      

  "You know you are addicted when you say to someone you can control your drug use. Some actually feel that they can cure themselves by not drinking or using drugs for short periods of time. Let me make this clear. If you are alcoholic or a drug addict, there is no cure. Addiction is a disease of progression. In other words, it is not a cure to stop drinking for short periods of time. When you use again and you will, it will usually get worse not better. The desperately sick and addicted as a last resort will spend any amount of money to relieve themselves of the desire and compulsion to drink. Alcohol and drugs will control your life. Alcoholism and drug addiction is disease like no other. It is a disease that tells you are not sick and that its OK to drink or use drugs again after you quit for a short period of time. Believe me, its not. Total abstinence for the rest of your life one day at a time is the only way to stop the craving and desire to drink or use drugs.  Did you ever quit smoking only later to smoke one cigarette and find yourself smoking like before you quit only more. Smoking is another addiction that is very hard to stop....Well, it’s the same with drinking or using drugs. Usually young people start drinking alcohol because of peer pressure. After a while it becomes the thing to do to fit in and feel good about doing questionable things. The alcohol commercials are proving that. Take my word for it, their goal is to get you hooked. To start you drinking. The younger the better. The cigarette are proof of that. For woman, your inhibitions will disappear because of drinking and drugging. In the past you thought about what your parents would think or what the consequences would be of your behavior. When woman drink or use drugs they lose their dignity or that "Healthy caution" and will do things they wouldn’t normally do. They become prey for the perverts. Did you ever wake up in the morning and not remember what you did the night before? Wonder where the black and blue marks came from or where the car was? No, well wait! You will! This will go on until someone suggests to you to try Marijuana. I don't care what they say! Marijuana is a stepping stone drug and if you use it, it will, more than likely lead to the use of other addictive drugs like prescription drugs, crack cocaine or heroin. Its only be a matter of time. It will be easier than drinking and it will make you feel high faster.. With woman its all about emotions, feelings and feeling good, so off you go. With most guys its about being shy and lacking self-confidence. Alcohol and drugs will allow that "false courage" and you will do things that you see on TV or in the movies. You will take those chances that you normally wouldn't. That usually leads to pain or death.. For some, addiction is a slow process. If you just drink it could take years but when you add drugs to the mix it won’t take as long. Alcohol will bankrupt you physically, mentally and spiritually. Some are lucky enough to hit bottom before they do too much damage. For others it will take longer and the longer it takes the odds are that before they can get help that person will find jail or death"….

Addiction

There is no “Cure” for the disease of Addiction. It is a mental, physical and spiritual disease. When you stop using drugs or drinking alcohol you cannot start again. If you do it will be like you never stopped and it will get worst. The fatal progression of the addiction disease never stops. It is the only disease that tells you don't have a disease. Total abstinence for the rest of your life is the only way to survive.

Ok, I’m back for a while because there are things I just can’t resist writing about and one of them is our old friend Dick Chaney.
Dick Chaney needs a heart. Any volunteers out there? Cash money on the barrel head……Wait, wait lets go back a little. …Does the theory, “What goes around comes around”, really work? Is it true? OJ Simpson hired three Lawyers and got off from a double murder charge. Only later he did end up in prison on a unrelated charge…It came around for him. Actor Robert Blake hired a big Hollywood Lawyer and got off a murder charge. Has it come around for him? He disappeared, we really don’t know. I do know he doesn’t have a career anymore. The same lawyer that got him off, got Michael Jackson off from a child molestation charge. Then Michael hired a Drug dealer Doctor to give him drugs. How's that working out for you Michael? If the super rich want something they just buy it or hire someone to do their bidding. Other recipients or will soon be winners of the “Goes around award” are….Lindsey Lohan. If this young actress doesn’t stop using drugs and drinking it will come around for her..Remember Heath Ledger, well it came around for him as it will for Charlie Sheen if he doesn’t make a decision to stop abusing himself. I realize this has nothing to do Mr.Chaney but let me finish. Can you figure out yet where I’m going with this?…Remember Congressman Gary Condit from California? He was the one having sex with that young intern until she got murdered. Years later someone else got arrested the crime but for a long time everyone thought he did it…It came around for him…He lost his job and I’ll bet people still think he did it. Remember Anna Nichol Smith, Judy Garland, Janis Joplin, Elvis Presley, Chris Farley, Andy Gibb, James Belushi and so many more lost their lives due to the use and abuse of drugs and alcohol…I’m getting off track here but lets just say it did come around for this group of people, all famous, rich and thought they could buy anything….Now back to Dick…Well, this guy has a pile and I mean a huge pile of money from the oil company's and it would probably take you and I and all our relatives 40 years to spend. Now, he is sitting on this fortune, that he can’t take with him by the way. Oh and by gosh, what to do…Dick needs a heart..He’s 72 years old and wants to be on the heart list..How far down on that list is he, you ask? Actually quite far. 3169 people long. They say the list is for the near death or people with less than 6 months to live. Here's the question here? Will his Billions of dollars get him higher on the list or can he buy a heart? Sadly, Mr. Chaney has had this condition for about 30 years. I think it has to do with the severity of his illness and his projected life span. Is it coming around for the ex-vice President?…We will see. If he suddenly has a new heart, did his cash buy it? Hey, a big donation here and there. Remember he’s a Politian with connections and power. Its not like he hasn't paid for this and that before. Will he use his influence to get a heart? Of coarse, it could be that maybe its time for things to come around to him. Remember, “Goes around comes around”.. Good Luck Mr. Chaney. I wish you well. We now know money can buy Doctors, Lawyers and drugs. We will soon see if money can buy hearts and happiness…

   Remember a long time ago when we seen something bad happen to someone we would say, Hey, be careful it could happen to you. Well, the way things are going these days we say, its going to happen to you sooner or later even if you are careful. I say, try not to become collateral damage. I realize that human behavior has been questionable for thousand years and people have been wondering why people do what they do since the beginning of time. Things have escalated in the past few years here in America and its my opinion that most of what is going on in this country these days is because of suppressed anger, fear and rage. None of us is bullet proof to the craziness and insanity going on in the world today...We have come to the point here in the United States depending where you live that its too dangerous to venture outside. I realize it has always been somewhat like this, more or less but it seems like its much worse now. Ask yourself a few questions. Do you really know who your neighbors are? Do you trust them? Are you sure? Would you let them baby sit your 13 year old daughter or give them the key to your house to watch while you go on vacation? I'll bet you are thinking about that? Has your home ever been invaded or broken into. Watch out there country dwellers you are on the list now. You can spend a small fortune for that security system but you are not untouchable anymore. I have never heard of that happening till a few years ago. Even you out there in the country in your 5 Million dollar home. You are not safe. Try and buy a hand gun to protect yourself. They are even taking that away from you too.  Remember when you could leave in the morning and not lock your door? I do....
       Has there ever been a suicide in your family? No, but I'll bet you know someone who has? Has divorce hit your family? Your kids or nieces and nephews? Do you smoke cigarettes? Could you stop if you wanted to?... Right, try it.. How about Alcoholism or Drug Addiction? Do you really know what your son or daughter would do to get the drink or drug he or she needs when craving it? Do you have an Alcoholic or Drug addict in your family? Did you know that alcoholism is an inherited disease?... Maybe it would it would be a good idea to read about addiction and learn. Have you been touched by those diseases yet...Notice I said yet...Have you felt the misery of a death by car accident on the highways these days or by the horrendous weather we are having? Has a family member or even a friend ever been raped or murdered? How about losing your job or your home? Have you ever had your car repossessed? Have you ever been watched so much you are starting to get paranoid? Your cell phone is really a hand held computer that will tell everyone everything. Are you or your kids addicted to your phone. Do you go back and get it if you forget it at home? Could you go a day without it? I did...Try that. Those cards the Supermarket uses. The ones you scan to buy something. Right, even they know what you are doing all the time. Ever wonder why you need a plastic card to buy almost anything? Even the banks know if and when you pay your bills.
       How about your kids. Have they left the family nest to go out in the world only to come back to live with you again? Are they saving for their future and retirement? Hell, are you saving for your future and retirement? The way things are going now you won't be able to retire until you are 70. That's only if Social Security has any money left. Will you be healthy enough to work until you are 70?..... 27% of Americans have no savings for that rainy day....All those wonderful politicians you voted for that are spending millions to get elected or reelected are robbing you blind. Ask them about their retirement and health care. Don't believe me? Just wait, you will see!
       Remember when you knew the cop on the beat by his first name? The police today are more Military than anything else. They all look alike with their shaved heads, bullet proof vests and combat fatigues. They carry automatic weapons like in a the army. Police departments of today now have hazmat teams and bomb squads. You haven't lived until you have been evacuated from a building because of a bomb threat or a mysterious white powder scare. Kids are being shot in schools everyday somewhere in this country. And no its not just the ghettos. It can happen to you...(((Oh, can I still say ghettos?))) Think about that? Have your children been in a locked down school because of a white powder, gun or bomb scare?  Its happening more and more. You are being scrutinized, searched, listened too and watched everywhere you go. From the highways and stores to Facebook and Google. Yes, you are...and there isn't a Blessed thing you or I can do about it.
      You and your kids are being programed by "Nintendo" games or while you are watching those horrible reality shows on TV, which are not real by the way. What about the the TV and movie violence? It is the worst I have ever seen. Because of the movies and TV, promiscuity is normal and modesty is nonexistent? There is nothing left to the imagination. Remember, young minds without supervision are the future copycats and you know what means. They actually need someone to tell them difference between right and wrong...As the years, months and days go by in this computer world the odds of something I just described happening to you is rapidly increasing. So if you think you were careful before, brother you haven't seen anything yet....All because of money...The Bastards out there will do anything to steal or sell you something. Nothing else matters....They don't care about anything else....

    On and on it goes... America is not a country anymore its become a business... The wars and greed gets thicker in Obama's new America. It can't last forever...How long will it be before it implodes? Obama's Illinois sly sneaky grins and winks will fade away. The question is? Is it too late? Have you become one of Obama's new clones? No, not one of those plastic human like machines on the Si-Fi channel or in the movies, not scientifically made but the kind made from your new environment. From now on or at least for a little while there is no middle class! You are ether rich or you are poor. Now you suffer or you don’t. For the poor, rage and anger are the new attitudes. Death, Fear and Terrorism are the norm. For the rich, they just don’t care..There is no in-between. The majority of you have now been programed and coerced into buying anything they are selling because of instant gratification and because they say you need to have it. Your freedom of choice is literally gone. You are doing these things automatically now. Your corrupt Illinois President and all your corrupt leaders in Washington are bought and paid for by the oil company's greed and big business. You are all blind or have been blinded to what is going on around you. You see and hear only what they want you to see and hear when they want you to see it and hear it. Everywhere you go, what ever you do. Whether its watching TV, being at the airport, buying food at the store, talking on your cell or just driving down the street. They know what you are doing, where you are and when you are doing it. They are watching and listening to you all the time. You have now become a statistic. You are just a number, a bar code. If you are too young to spend money they don’t need you. If you are old, you have become a throw away that is too expensive to take care of. They are slowly taking away your food stamps (SNAP) and health benefit's so you will die. Your peace of mind and serenity have been manipulated into buying material things and for the most part your freedom of choice has been taken away. They continue to lie and say everything is OK and you really believe them... They want you to think that drugs and alcohol are to have a good time and not addictive. They don’t care because all they want is for you to do spend money. That is what its all about. You are officially living in a very sick society and have been for a while now....

The Ten Ways to tell if you are a Obama Clone. Be honest if that is possible anymore..

1. Do you walk around staring at your hand (Cell phone) for more than an hour a day?

2. Do you ever mute a TV show and watch commercials?

Comment....A few years ago after I retired from the State and Federal Government  I worked in a Alcohol Rehabilitation unit and as a result, today some of my best friends are clean and sober alcoholics and drug addicts. My good friend Jason explained it like this, when I asked him if there really was a cure for this disease?

"President For a Few Days" Part Three

This is part 3 of the 3 part series about some of the tough decisions that need to made.  I realize some of these things are impossible.... But if only.....


    There will be a Ban all television commercials starting immediately. Ban all suggestive material which includes music and video games designed to entice teenagers to be violent, have sex or use drugs. Anyone caught importing drugs from any country into the U.S. will be arrested for attempted murder. This includes the street drug dealers or anybody that has anything to do with illegal drugs. No exceptions. Any drug addict who wants help can have it as long as they deem it necessary. It will paid for in full by the money that will be confiscated from any and all the countries that have drug money in any bank in the U.S. Treatment is free to citizens only. 


     Then I woke up……………..Think this is Extreme and a fantasy? I would be the first one to agree with you. If this or any part of this is done, I believe the smiles you don’t see anymore would come back. There would be less crowded roads and highways. It would be less crowded everywhere. The air would be clean. Can you imagine looking up at night and seeing the stars again? Did you know there is so much pollution that your kids have never seen the stars the way it was? Can you imagine drinking the water out of the faucet in a real glass instead of a plastic bottle? Can you imagine getting gas at your local gas station and seeing a High School kid named John instead of Abdul working the cash register? Can you remember when you heard the name Mohamed you thought of a Heavy Weight Champion instead of death or a bomb blast somewhere? Gas would be $49.9 cents a gallon the way its supposed to be. People would trust one another again. Families would stay together instead of being torn apart and ruined by drug abuse and teen pregnancy. Honesty and morals would be a mainstay and the thing to do. Love would be what real love is supposed to be about and not just a passing desire for a few years or until you are tired of one another. Marriage would be when, “Through sickness and health” meant just that. The perfect family where Dad works and Mom watches the kids just might reappear. Maybe the kids would be outside playing in the yard instead going on the internet or playing video games. Just maybe a movie would be shown without a gun or death in it. Yes, and to all you people that will say this country was founded by certain principles, your right but most of those principles don’t exist anymore. You are right though, I would be the first to tell you the old words to the Constitution are there but Lawyers and corruption have changed and twisted the words to make them be whatever they want them to be. It seems we are so busy fixing all the world problems we are not watching what is happening in our own back yard. Our country is growing faster than our coping skills can handle it. Maybe it would take some tough decisions and limit setting to fix things but right now the United States is not United. Right now, it has no future. If you think it does, you have been blinded by all the lies and manipulation. If the United States continues on the path it is going, well you think about it. Project a little into the future…You will see what I mean and if you don’t, may God bless you. Your going to need it.

"Honesty is a Life Force"

Did you miss me?….Don’t worry I’m still here…You probably can’t see me in all this fog but I’m here. There was a break in the fog the other day and the sun came out for a little while. I jumped on that very quickly and took a ride on my bike for about 10 miles. Just a sample of things to come…What’s new?… Well, The latest thing is I've been getting phone calls from someone I dated in 2006.…No details but our relationship was volatile to say the least. Remember when I went on that liar rant post a while ago? Every once and a while I think about how she treated me and I write about honesty and what a rare commodity this is these days. Actually honesty and integrity are my favorite topics…I wrote about the woman who use half truths to manipulate men and practically anyone so they can to get what they want. Well, I've been watching the Casey Anthony murder trial and the person that is calling me reminds of the girl that’s on trial. In the past when called she was mostly civil. Now when she calls she’s drunk or high on drugs. The foul language, shock statements about her promiscuity are there but now she is slurring and muttering her words. Please believe me, I don’t like when the predictions I make come true like this. I truly believe that honesty is a life force. Telling the truth, good or bad is a main stay to leading a happy sober life. No, I will not be helping this very sick young woman nor will get involved with her decline. All her problems are hers and hers alone…I will venture to say that her life will be cut short because of what she is doing and maybe that’s a good thing because at least her pain will be over. In this case its sad because she has had all the chances humanly possible. Addiction is a horrible disease…
