"Thanksgiving Day"

    My dinner today will consist of Salad, Apple juice and Vegetarian Organic Wheat Spinach and Ricotta Cheese Raviolis. It does not get any better than that.. My gift from the internet this morning was two movies.. The new Robert De Niro, Al Pacino movie "The Irishman" which is 3 hours and 29 minutes long.. Don't miss this movie.. and the new "Downton Abby" movie, gonna start that as soon as I finish this note... So far I'm having a great day.. OK this is what I'm Thankful for..I thank God for my 41 years of continuous sobriety also my 10 years without a cigarette and all the good health that comes with not drinking and smoking.. I'm thankful for my beautiful apartment and the people that live here in my building.. Also that I can write this with a clear mind and really mean every word I write..I have no anger or resentment and I feel happy all the time.. I and Thankful for that all that and many more things... Later guys Be good to yourself and God Bless.. 

“Priest's Retirement Dinner”

                  Someone sent this to me…………..After thinking about it for about 4 seconds I decided to do a little editing and post it…. The way the politicians are these days it could be a true story…
A Priest was being honored at his retirement dinner after 25 years in the parish. A leading local politician and member of the congregation was chosen to make the presentation and give a little speech at the dinner for the Priest..

However, the politician was delayed, so the Priest decided to say a few words while they waited.

He went to podium and said, “I got my first impression of the parish from the first confession I heard here. At first I thought I had been assigned to a terrible place. The very first person who entered my confessional told me he had stolen a television set and, when questioned by the police, was able to lie his way out of it. He said, he had stolen money from his parents, embezzled from his employer, had an affair with his boss's wife, taken illegal drugs and gave VD to his girlfriend. I was appalled. But as the days went on, I learned that my people were not all like that and I had, indeed, come to a fine parish full of good and loving people”.
Just as the Priest finished his talk, the politician breathlessly arrived full of apologies at being late. He immediately walked to the podium and began to make the presentation and start his talk by saying, “I’ll never forget the first day our parish Priest arrived, In fact, I had the honor of being the first person to go to him for confession”.

                        Moral of this story….. Never, Never, Never Be Late.

I notice Hanoi Jane getting into the spotlight again by getting arrested. Just remember what she did during the Vietnam war... For those too young to remember here is a reminder.. Jane Fonda alias Hanoi Jane, is a Traitor... Many of our veterans still call her “Hanoi Jane” thanks to her radio broadcasts, which attempted to shame American troops. She posed on an anti-aircraft gun used to shoot down our American pilots. She called our POWs hypocrites and liars and referred to their torture as understandable. Even she had to apologize years later for that gun picture, but not for the rest of it. Just Google Jane Fonda and click on pictures.. She is an old lady now, still lives on her Dads name and money and has not made a movie in years..

Its starting to get cold now.. Temperature is 26 degrees now.. I can hear the wind howling outside.. Nothing new here going just waiting for the Holidays to come around.. Meanwhile here are a few ocean pictures from last week.. I live at the shoreline but I am at the ocean edge every day. What a tough life I have. Enjoy..

On November 12, 1954, Ellis Island, an entry point for millions of immigrants, closes. Opened in 1892, some 12 million people were processed through the island, and some estimate 40 percent of Americans can trace family members who came through Ellis Island. The first immigrant to be processed there was 15-year-old Annie Moore from Ireland. The busiest year for Ellis Island was 1907 when an estimated 1 million people entered the United States. After the 1924 Immigration Act, which sharply reduced the number of immigrants allowed into the country, the site did not process immigrants but rather served as a Coast Guard training center, hospital for wounded World War II soldiers and a detention center for illegal aliens..

My Grandparents came through Ellis Island from Italy..... I remember the stories they told me about the trip across the ocean.. Later on I also remember when they walked into the house after becoming Citizens... The smiles, the happiness but most of all I remember the Raviolis she made for the all those wonderful holidays we had.. Those are my treasures I have today...

Addiction plague and Death will get worst, with the legalization of Marijuana...Medical Marijuana and Prescription drugs.... Lawyers and Politicians create new names to make it legal so they can hook you to come back for more..  They are now Legal drug dealers.. 

         To those suffering from addiction including Marijuana, whether it be from Alcohol or Drugs.. If you are successful in stopping the use of these addictive substances for a period of time you can never use another addictive drug again.. If you do, it will be like you never stopped only 100 times worst and probably fatal..

I Looked up what war this was about because I found this Tomb Stone when I visited a cemetery in Lyme Connecticut the other day..It just so happens that it came up as a Historic day. I can't Imagine the suffering of his family learning of his death at that point in time...

I got stopped by a Local Cop the other day for avoiding pot holes and sunken manhole covers (This always happens to me).. My first impression was he was very respectful and nice to me.. That was very interesting...When he gave me all my stuff back I found a 3x5 piece of paper tucked in with all the paperwork.. This is why hardly anyone is being stopped by cops anymore..
They are afraid to stop you...

The radio station America FM was doing one of its 'Is Anyone Listening?' bits this morning.  The first question was; Ever have a celebrity come up with the 'Do you know who I am? ' routine?'

A woman called in and said that a few years ago, while visiting her cattle rancher uncle in Billings , MT ,  She had occasion to go to dinner at a restaurant  that does not take reservations.  The wait was about 45 minutes.  Many local ranchers and their wives were waiting.

Ted Turner and his ex-wife Jane Fonda came in the restaurant and wanted a table.  The hostess informed them that they'd have to wait 45 minutes.  Jane Fonda asked the hostess, 'Do you know who I am?' The hostess answered, 'Yes, but you'll have to wait 45 minutes .'

Then Jane asked if the manager was in.  When the manager came out, he asked, 'May I help you?' 'Do you know who we are?' both Ted and Jane asked.  'Yes, but these folks have been waiting, and I can't put you ahead of them.'

Then Ted asked to speak to the owner.  The owner came out, and Jane again asked, 'Do you know who I am?' The owner answered, 'Yes, I do.  Do you know who I am?  I am the owner of this restaurant and I am a Vietnam Veteran.  Not only will you not get a table ahead of my friends and neighbors who have been waiting here, But you also will not be eating in my restaurant tonight or any other night.  Good bye."

"A Story from the Past"

              Years ago and I mean many "Years Ago" when I was a little kid.  Me and the guys were sneaking smokes in the woods that were everywhere around my neighborhood..I collected and sold enough "Bogey" soda bottles on the side of the road at a Nickle a piece to buy a can of Prince Albert Pipe or Cigarette tobacco...My friend had a cigarette roller and paper to "roll our own cigarettes" ..I don't remember why I hid the can but I think it was because we got caught and I hid the can in the Attic under the floor boards of the attic of my Dads house..Years later when my Dad sold the house so He and my Mom could go to assisted living I took one last look at the empty beautiful home that I grew up in.. I don't know why I thought about that Tobacco but when I looked, there it was in the same spot I hid it years before...These pictures are of that can of Prince Albert...

"Who Me, Where?"

Did you ever wish you were invisible? I mean so no one could see you. To be able to walk down the street and not be looked at all the time. To walk into a room and not be noticed or talked to? To be able to stand anonymously by, not saying a word and being bothered by anyone or anything. Well, I have and I have been wishing this would happen to me more and more lately. As you know or don't know I'm having a problem with our constantly changing world and I want to be left alone but not all the time, just some of the time. Let the world change at lightning speed while I stay where I am mentally and without the problems that go along with all the confusion and instability. The way things are going these days, its just moving too fast for me to understand so I am practicing being invisible because being the center of attention or visible also comes with the responsibly of setting a good example and as we all now these days that is impossible and almost non-existent. I mean who sets a good example these days? I don't want to be part of all that stuff. So being here and there or somewhere and being invisible works for me...Does it work and can you really do this, you may ask? I say, it works it really does but only if you practice. I mean I'm still here and there but barely noticeable. I have gotten so transparent lately that people don't say hello anymore and that's a good thing. Oh, some do but only if I want them too. You may not believe this but later on in the future you or I won't be here and no one will really care anyway. So from now on I'm going to practice not being here or in other words, being invisible. I will only become visible when I drive my car because it wouldn't look so good for a car to be going down the road without a driver.

Alcohol is the biggest Corrupter of  the Human Mind in history.. Drinking Alcohol not only takes away your common sense, morals and judgement it ruins the way you think rationally about the way you live your life as you normally do. When you drink Alcohol you then make decisions sometimes life threatening and unforgiving.. Even with a little as only one drink it changes your prospective as you know it. Look at our World as it is today. Look at the death, divorces and people that will never have a normal life.. Think about all those horrible memories they have.. Think about the Suicides and early death drinkers have. By drinking a drink with alcohol it will shorten your life expectancy and you will have poor health. The average adult human body is 50-65% water, averaging around 57-60% and as you know Alcohol does not mix with water and by drinking it you are forcing your Kidneys and digestive system to dispose of the alcohol. To continue making your body work like this leads to sickness, poor health and an early death...Written by me and I have not had a drink or a substitute in more than 40 years...

She struggled with drug and alcohol abuse, and cocaine was found in her system. She was 48. Tupac was quoted as saying, "They only used good drugs"..

What is Going On..

 I want to know why all the birds are disappearing or why won’t people realize that the more trees they cut down the more tornadoes we will have. I heard someone say the other day that if our government can send man to the Moon or do all those other wonderful things they do for money, why can’t they stop the bad guys getting drugs into this country. Or stop pornography from ruining the lives of the young kids. I want to know why our government won’t do these things? Why do we have to send our military to some obscure backward country where the people live like they did 2000 years ago. The only thing they know is how to build technically is a roadside bomb. These primitive people are so backward they kill their kids or wives if they do something they think is bad. They actually stone people to death. What makes our government think we can teach them anything? They hate all Americans. Do you think that if they really wanted to they could get themselves out of the situation they are in? Of coarse they could. Those people want to be left alone.…No, we or you would rather be yelled at by commercials all day and told that you need this or that. The freaks who make these commercials rely on your instant gratification for their greed. Your taxes will be raised under the guise of fighting a war that we cannot win. The war that should be against drug dealers or pornographers. The real reasons our government won’t is because they can do what they want and you let them.

Spitzer

OK, so what. Mr Spitzer got caught with his pants down..A little play on words there..I wasn't going to say anything but...I don't see anything wrong with seeing a lady of the evening if your single. He's not single and that makes it not right. He's cheating on his wife and that tells me the commutation between him and his wife is not good. Having said that. I am single and have been with some very beautiful and interesting ladies myself. See, I am single and I am not a Governor setting an example, I can say that. The part that bothers me is the Executive's of the New York stock exchange going on CNN and saying that Mr Spitzer was too tough and vigilant and always keeping an eye on the (In my opinion) the unsavory people in the Stock Exchange. Those fools being upset tells me he was doing a great job keeping an eye on THEM. It seems as they are happy that that Mr. Spitzer got caught. Having said all that.. Does that mean that the crooks are going to have an open season on cheating the stock holders? I mean they are calling him bad names and are thrilled the he got caught. Watch out all you stock people or whatever you are call yourselves the cheating and stealing will begin soon if it already hasn't. He's gone now and the rats will soon come out to play..God bless him and his family..Can I still say that?

I will never buy anything or condone any interruption in  my service. I will make it my goal in life to discourage anybody and everybody from putting up with the insanity these bottom feeders try to sell.. You have my word on that...

               (((Warning)))....When you read this page be careful because it contains a few epithet's, whatever that is....  Contrary to popular belief...Some of us still believe in, ~"Freedom of Speech."~ In my day and being of Italian extraction, I was called a Wop or a Guinea many times. Polish people were called Pollacks. The Irish were called Micks. The Jews were called Kikes. Germans were called Krauts and the Japanese were called Chinks. The Spanish were called Spicks and Blacks were called Niggers. If we were really nice we called them Colored...When I was in the military I was passing through Augusta Ga. I stopped in to Sears for one reason or another and seen two drinking fountains next to each other. The sign above them said one was for Whites and one was for Colored. It was the same for bathrooms. One for White people and the other bathroom next to it for the Colored... We were brought up to say those things and everybody said it. Even the American Indians were called Redskins. Its what they said in the movies! Now they are trying to change the name of a NFL team. They cannot stop us from thinking those words.... It will always be us and them...
      If I ever said to the guys "Hey, its not nice to say those things, I would have been punched in the arm till it was black and blue and called more names that I'm sure any of you can think of. One of the most popular sayings, in my day was, "You call a spade a spade"!
      Whatever happened to "Sticks and stones will break my bones but names will never hurt me".
 A lot of people said this and now its my turn...."I may not agree with what you say, but I will fight to the death to defend your right to say it."

      However, its now 2019 and believe me when I say this, I promise you I will never change! ... This Political correctness and our government now is just another form of control. They are trying to control everything we say and do. No matter how hard they try to change the Constitution they cannot change or control my generation like they do to today's "Clone Generation"... Call me what you want! I know what I am and who I am... I will never change! Firing someone because of something they said is still, "Unconstitutional."
    Although I don't condone what they said, it was in poor taste... I said the same thing when "Michael Richards, Jimmy the Greek" and Donald Imus lost their jobs..
