Rep. Jesse Jackson Jr. admitted to Mayo Clinic - New York Amsterdam News: Politics Noir
After two weeks of mystery, the whereabouts of Rep. Jesse Jackson Jr. are now known. He has been admitted to the Mayo Clinic in Rochester, Minn., where he is being evaluated for depression and gastrointestinal ailments, according to a statement released by the renowned clinic.
There was no elaboration in the statement about the treatment and whether it was connected to gastric bypass surgery he underwent eight years ago to reduce his weight.
Since his disappearance, there were rumors galore, some of them indicating that Jackson was in a state of depression, on the verge of suicide and suffering from a severe “mood disorder.”
