Middletown school officials deal with scream rooms outrage - WFSB Channel 3:

"MIDDLETOWN, CT (WFSB) -
One day after dozens of parents took out their frustrations at school officials, and each other, over the district's use of scream rooms, the Middletown Board of Education will hold a 3 p.m. press conference Friday.

The small concrete rooms at Farm Hill School, furnished with only a desk, are where children with behavior problems are put during the school day."

Comment....I don't like saying this but its reality. Its the way it is these days and I don't see it getting any better... In today's society when the two parents work, that's if these kids are lucky enough to have two parents. Limit setting needs to be done. Sometimes isolation is necessary for the safety of the other kids and the teachers. Its called a cool down period. There are kids out there that have huge anger issues. Some act out violently. Then there are the special needs kids that need to be separated from the others when they act out. There are times an angry kid, when you least expect it will bite someone or throw something at the teacher or the kids around them...When they will not listen to the school guidance consular they need to separated.
