"Charles Manson up for parole"

NEW YORK (CNN) – Serial killer Charles Manson will have a parole hearing April 11, 2012, though he may choose not to be there. He has been denied parole 11 times.
Manson was convicted of the 1969 killings of actress Sharon Tate and six others by a group of his followers. Prosecutors said it was part of an attempt to start a race war.
